Now it is wonderful that these teachings are making their way from
east to west. Modern Westerners have the education and the inquisitive
nature that make them perfect vessels to receive these teachings.
They can receive these explanations in all their profundity and
use them to analyze reality with all the rigor necessary to gain
insight and wisdom.
For this to go well, it is essential
that these teachings be presented clearly. To this end, I am delighted
that Andy Karr, a learned student of both Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche
and my own root guru, Khenpo Tsültrim Gyamtso Rinpoche, has
written this book that so clearly introduces the main points of
Buddhist philosophical inquiry and the key methods for how to contemplate
them and gain certainty in them.
